(1858-1933) Army General. Grad., West Point (1882). After serving on the Southwestern frontier and as an Instructor at West Point, Allaire saw action in the Philippine-American War where he was awarded the Silver Star for bravery (1899-1901). From (1903-04) he again served in the Philippines with Leonard Wood in action against the Moorish rebels, and later returned to for a third tour (1912-15). In 1915 he commanded the 16th Infantry during the Mexican Punitive Expedition in search of Pancho Villa. Promoted to the rank of Brig. General (1917). During WW I he served as the Provost Marshall of the AEF and Commanded the District of Paris. Sig. "W.H. Allaire-U.S. Army"
