(1891-1959) British General of Dunkirk Fame. Joined the Seaforth Highlanders in 1911 and saw four years of action on the Western Front in WW I. From 1930-32 he Commanded the British Forces in Palestine and then on the North West Frontier of India. In WWII he Commanded the 11th Infantry in France and Belgium and in 1940 Commanded the 3rd Division in the historic evacuation from Dunkirk. Anderson Commanded the 1st Army in Tunisia (1942-43) and then the 2nd Army stationed in the U.K. (1943-44). In 1944 he was given Command of the Chief Southern Command and then finished the war as Commander of the Chief East Africa Command. From 1947-52 he was Governor-General of Gibraltar and Commander-in-Chief of the British forces there. Fine Dark Fountain Pen Sig. "Kenneth Anderson General"
