(1963- ) World and U.S. Hall of Fame Skater, best remembered for his incredible jumping technique. In 1992 he became the first America to land a triple axel. As an amateur, he was the 4-time National Champion (1985-88), 2-time World Champion (1986, 1988) and in 1988 won the Olympic Gold Medal in what is considered one of the finest performances in Olympic history. During his professional career he was a 6-time Professional Championship Champ (1988-92, 1994). In the film South Park - Bigger, Longer and Uncut is the song "What Would Brian Boitano Do?" to which he has skated. SP, 3x5
